Resources for CCHS Residents:

BC tenants have access to a variety of resources for understanding their rights, resolving disputes, and finding support, including the Tenant Resource & Advisory Centre (TRAC), the Residential Tenancy Branch (RTB), BC Housing, and various community organizations and Access Pro Bono.

Key Resources for BC Tenants:


Tenant Resource & Advisory Centre (TRAC):
TRAC offers free legal education and plain language resources to help tenants understand their rights and enforce them, including the “Renting It Right” online course. 
Residential Tenancy Branch (RTB):
The RTB provides information and support to both landlords and tenants regarding tenancy laws and processes in BC. You can find detailed information on their website and request assistance in multiple languages. 
BC Housing:
For tenants in BC Housing properties, resources include the Tenant Handbook with information on various topics like conflicts, emergencies, and keeping pets, as well as specific programs like Housing and Health Services.


Other Tenant Organizations:


Organizations like Access Pro Bono offer support, advocacy, and resources for tenants, including workshops, publications, and legal assistance programs. 
Community Legal Assistance Society (CLAS):
CLAS provides legal assistance and resources for tenants, including their Judicial Review Self-Help Guide. 
Justice Education Society:
This organization offers legal education and resources to help individuals understand and navigate the legal system, including resources for tenants. 
RentSmart:
Offered through the Community Housing Transformation Centre, RentSmart provides courses on tenant rights, budgeting, and communication to foster stable tenancies.
